Established in 1973, the Palm Oil Mill (POM) began with a small processing capacity. Over the years, it has undergone several expansions and now operates with a capacity of 60 metric tons per hour (mt/hr), producing Crude Palm Oil (CPO).
The biomass generated during the production process is fully utilized to produce steam and electricity, contributing to a self-sustaining energy system within the Keck Seng Integrated Palm Oil Complex. Additionally, the Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) undergoes biological treatment in a Biogas Digester, where methane gas is captured and used as a fuel source for refinery operations.
